All PCA training is held at the Jefferson High School auditorium.

Designed to give coaches a greater understanding of the influence they have over young athletes and encourage them to teach kids how to win on and off the field.

Tampa Yankees Back to School Bash!

All summers must come to an end. This year, join the Tampa Yankees in celebrating our Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6th! The gates open at 5:00 and the first 250 kids through the doors will receive an exclusive Tampa Yankees Backpack! We will have carnival games, face painting, balloons, and a bounce house for you to enjoy during the game. Kids get to run the bases between 5 and 5:15 followed by player autographs between 5:15 and 5:30. And then end the night with our post-game fireworks show! Join us at George M. Steinbrenner Field for one last summer hoorah!

Join us for Bark at the Ballpark on Saturday, June 25 at George M. Steinbrenner Field! Pre-game dog fair begins at 4:30pm, with the game following at 6:00pm. The dog fair will feature local pet vendors. There will be a pet costume contest and a best pet trick contest. Tickets start at just $4 and all dogs must have a ticket. Dog ticket proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. All dogs must have valid county tags and current vaccinations.

Come out and join the Tampa Yankees on Saturday, May 7th, for “Pink Out Night” sponsored by Moffitt Cancer Center and SerenBe Day Spa. The Tampa Yankees will be playing the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6:00pm, with the gates opening at 5:00pm.

Florida’s District 6 - in conjunction with sponsoring leagues Bayshore, Dade City, Palma Ceia, and Keystone – are rolling out an exciting weekend of training with world renown trainer Coach Al Price – aka “Big Al”.
Parents, coaches, and managers of Little League-age children from all Tampa Bay area leagues are invited to attend for FREE (donations will be graciously accepted).
It will be an informative session to help you get the most out of your role as a coach or parent by offering various ways to teach young children the games of baseball and softball, and have fun at the same time.
Please bring your gloves and a couple balls and come on out and get the most out of the upcoming season!

Learn how to introduce the skills of the game in a creative, fun and effective way. Experience Big Al`s complete practice planning approach that your players and their parents will love. Training targeted at coaches, managers and parents “rookies” and “veterans” softball and baseball.
8:00 – 8:30 Registration and Introductions
8:30 – 12:00 Hands on Training Session
AFTERNOON TRAINING SESSION
(coaches and managers of players 9-12 yrs)
Learn how to teach the fundamental skills of the game and plan fun and effective practices. Experience Big Al`s “Teach it- Try it- Game it” approach! A season full of drills, challenging games and activities for your players. Training targeted at baseball & softball coaches and managers.
12:00 – 12:30 Registration and Introductions
12:30 – 4:30 Hands on Training Session
4:30 – 5:00 Softball Pitching Session

Athletic Services is responsible for conducting criminal background checks on youth sports volunteers and certifying (or re-certifying) youth sports coaches. Since the inception of the coaching certification program, more than 14,000 coaches have been certified. Coaching Classes are conducted monthly.
