TOURNAMENT DEDICATION - BRET CANSLER
We are deeply saddened to inform you of the loss of a tremendous person and Little League volunteer. BRET CANSLER, former president of Bayshore Little League (2006-2007), went to be with God Friday June 19th after a brief battle with esophageal cancer at H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center where he was surrounded by his family. Bret leaves behind two children, daughter Kelsey, a current Bayshore Junior softball player, son Kyle, and countless friends and family members. In his years as a Little League volunteer, he worked closely with many of us, especially the South Tampa leagues. Bret, you will be missed my friend, Godspeed.
To you we dedicate the 2009 District 6 All-Star Tournament.

Providing a safe place for our children, off the streets and out of trouble, requires our leagues and District to reach-out to the families and businesses in our community and beyond to help raise the funds necessary to meet our substantial budgets.

Without these kind and generous contributions, our District and leagues could not operate. It is only through our fundraising efforts and your contributions that our programs continue each year.

If you can find a place in your heart and budget to help our programs continue, any amount will help.

Please help our District and leagues continue to serve and provide programs to the children of our community. Your tax-deductible contribution will go a long-way in helping us do so.

The Tampa Yankees will be having there 2009 summer baseball camp on June 16 and 17.

Campers will get professional instruction by Yankees Minor League Coaches, Players, and Staff.

On June 18, there will be a pre-game BBQ beginning at 11 am for each cammper and one guest (additional tickets may be purchased) followed by the Tampa Yankees game at noon.

The cost for the camp is $115.
The camp will be from 9am until 12pm, for ages 6-13.

All skill levels are welcome.
Snacks will be provided daily.
Each camper will recieve a Tampa Yankees Baseball Camp T-shirt and a Yankees hat.

Welcome to FLD6 from the District Administrator

Little League Florida District 6 helps over 1,000 unpaid volunteers in Tampa & Hillsborough County serve and provide baseball & softball programs for over 4,000 children (ages 4-18) annually.

As a Chartered Little League District, your Sponsorships and Contributions to FLD6 are tax-deductible to our non-profit organization.

Our budget goal is $50,000 per year and is 100% funded by the generosity of your CONTRIBUTIONS and SPONSORSHIPS. Our expenses range from Administration of the District (staff-presidents-coaches-rules meetings, website, eNewsletters, office supplies, etc.) to Tournament Operations for the Tournament of Champions and All-Stars (baseballs, softballs, trophies, medals, pins, score books, travel, team contributions, umpire assistance, etc.). If we do not meet our budget goal, it effects the level of service we can provide to the players, coaches, and leagues of FLD6.
