Rules & Review Make-up Meeting

Section: FLD6 - LTR-TOC, News - Coaches, FLD6 Calendar, Interleague Play (IP) / May 28, 2011
District 6 will hold a Rules & Review make-up meeting on MONDAY MAY 31st @ 7:30pm @ Citrus Park Little League for the following divisions: Minor A softball, Minor A baseball & Major baseball.

This meeting is mandatory for ALL managers and coaches listed on your official roster to attend.  Any manager or coach that has not attended a rules and review is NOT allowed to participate with warm ups and games until they have a meeting! 

If you are in need of a temporary coach for a game, PLEASE print the temporary coach form located under subsection FORMS & DOCUMENTS. Your League President must sign this form to indicate your Alternate Coach is Board approved as a coach and has a LLB Background Check.

Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach Program
PCA training is open to all coaches and prospective coaches and league directors and leaders.
All PCA training is held at the Jefferson High School auditorium.

Double Goal Coach:
First goal is winning,
Second, more-important goal is teaching life lessons through sports;

Designed to give coaches a greater understanding of the influence they have over young athletes and encourage them to teach kids how to win on and off the field.

Big Al Price Coach Training

Attention parents, coaches, and managers of Little League players –
Florida’s District 6 - in conjunction with sponsoring leagues Bayshore, Dade City, Palma Ceia, and Keystone – are rolling out an exciting weekend of training with world renown trainer Coach Al Price – aka “Big Al”.

Parents, coaches, and managers of Little League-age children from all Tampa Bay area leagues are invited to attend for FREE (donations will be graciously accepted).

It will be an informative session to help you get the most out of your role as a coach or parent by offering various ways to teach young children the games of baseball and softball, and have fun at the same time.

Please bring your gloves and a couple balls and come on out and get the most out of the upcoming season!

MORNING TRAINING SESSION

(coaches & parents of players 4-8 yrs)

Learn how to introduce the skills of the game in a creative, fun and effective way. Experience Big Al`s complete practice planning approach that your players and their parents will love. Training targeted at coaches, managers and parents “rookies” and “veterans” softball and baseball.

8:00 – 8:30 Registration and Introductions

8:30 – 12:00 Hands on Training Session

AFTERNOON TRAINING SESSION

(coaches and managers of players 9-12 yrs)

Learn how to teach the fundamental skills of the game and plan fun and effective practices. Experience Big Al`s “Teach it- Try it- Game it” approach! A season full of drills, challenging games and activities for your players. Training targeted at baseball & softball coaches and managers.

Little League's Double-Goal Coach Course ensures that all our coaches have built their knowledge of what we call "Honoring the Game" - a focused, more proactive version of what society calls "sportsmanship." A Double-Goal Coach strives to win (goal #1) and, even more importantly, (goal #2) uses Positive Coaching to teach life lessons through the Little League experience.
